Leaking urine when you cough, sneeze or exercise can affect confidence and everyday comfort. A sudden urge that is difficult to control can be equally disruptive. These symptoms deserve a private, practical conversation about the type of leakage and the options available.
Royal Multi Care offers urinary incontinence chair consultations through our Chennai and Coimbatore centres. Our brochure describes fully clothed sessions using magnetic waves: a seated approach to pelvic floor stimulation.
How the magnetic chair works
A magnetic stimulation chair generates changing electromagnetic fields. These can stimulate nerves supplying the pelvic floor muscles and produce repeated muscle contractions while you remain seated. The intended role is to support pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation and bladder-control treatment in suitable patients.
This is a description of the treatment method. The precise settings, duration and suitability depend on the equipment and your assessment; the clinic will explain its device-specific protocol before treatment.
What a session involves
First comes a confidential discussion of your symptoms, medical history and treatment goals. If chair treatment is suitable, you sit fully clothed while the clinician positions you and adjusts the settings. You may feel repeated contractions or a tapping sensation. Tell the clinician about discomfort so the session can be adjusted or stopped.
Bring details of previous pelvic surgery, current medicines and any implanted devices. Pacemakers, other electronic implants, metal near the treatment area and pregnancy require specific screening against the device instructions. Do not assume a non-invasive treatment is suitable for everyone.
Which symptoms should be assessed?
Leakage with coughing or effort can be stress incontinence. Leakage associated with a strong sudden urge can be urgency incontinence. Some people have both. An assessment helps distinguish these patterns and consider other causes, such as a urinary infection, that need different care.
Magnetic chair treatment is one option to discuss within a broader pelvic-health plan. Supervised pelvic floor muscle training is a recommended first-line treatment for women with stress or mixed incontinence; bladder training is recommended for urgency or mixed symptoms. A machine does not replace the need to identify the problem.
How is progress reviewed?
Discuss leakage frequency, urgency and changes in everyday confidence with your clinician. The number and spacing of sessions should follow your assessment and response. Early improvement and lasting improvement are different questions, so follow-up matters.
